Northern Utah Birth and Postpartum Support
What is a doula?

- A medical terminology translator
- A “common sense filter” when someone is too overwhelmed to remember what they know
- A professional parent lover
- A birth “caddie”, as eloquently described in this article
I help families thrive through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting. I serve Northern Utah, covering families birthing in: Logan, Brigham, Ogden, South Ogden, Layton, Bountiful, Salt Lake City, Murray, Riverton, and everything in between! I have supported clients through hospital, home, and birth center births.

Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life.
Ina May Gaskin
Utah Doula Services
As a birth doula, I work in conjunction with the rest of my clients’ birth care teams to provide personalized care. My aim is to increase the safety and satisfaction of my clients throughout the entire perinatal period. I provide education, resources, and hands-on support to families as they go through the process of pregnancy and birth. My clients make the right choices for their unique families and I am proud to help them work toward their goals- whatever those goals are! I support planned home births, planned cesarean births, inductions, epidurals, and everything in between.
If a doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it.

Doula-tographer Services
I am excited to offer both birth doula and birth photography services in one incredible package. The pandemic shutdowns forced many people to have to choose between professional birth support and professional birth photography. I am dedicated to ensuring that my clients have the option to have the best of both worlds.

In giving birth to our babies, we may find that we give birth to new possibilities within ourselves.

Postpartum Support
Bringing home a new baby can be a bumpy transition, and postpartum care can make a huge difference! I can assist clients with feeding (baby and the rest of the family!), sleep questions, and help with the day to day stresses of life so that they can settle in with their new baby. I work with clients between birth and their post birth checkup, so I am available to answer many questions and concerns about what is “normal”. Other postpartum support includes doing light chores, helping care for older children, and helping keep baby happy and safe so that clients have a chance to care for themselves as well. As a parent myself, I know the value of good support in the postpartum time, and I work to ensure that my clients are well taken care of as they get to know their baby.
